Artist BIO

Susan McKenna List is a nationally recognized plein air painter from the NYC, DC & SF and, now, Palm Beach areas.  With a BA in English, magna cum laude, and graduate work in information science, List became a DC management consultant to DOD and energy government clients.  After beginning serious study in painting and pastel portrait in the early 80's, a move to the SF East Bay led to an introduction to mentor Pam Glover's accomplished group of plein air painters.  Schooled in the field as a California Colorist, List became an avid plein air (outdoor on location) painter.  Invitations to prestigious juried competitions, solo and group shows followed.
