Artist BIO
Lisa Wickenden Charles

I am a life-long artist who mostly focuses on painting with oil, acrylics, and watercolors. I've studied ceramics, surface pattern design, and encaustic art as well as sculpture, resin, and mixed-media collage. My influences include Michael Carson, Jim Holland, Chuck Close, photographer William Eggleston, Edward Hopper, Maxfield Parrish, Paul Cezanne, and my great-grandfather R.J. Wickenden, who was a close associate and contemporary of Vincent Van Gogh in Auvers sur Oise, France, at the turn of the last century.
As a musician who sings and plays guitar and keyboards, I've written, engineered and produced my own music. For many years I made my living as a rock 'n roll radio DJ and music journalist for various magazines.
