For many years, I have worked in both mixed media and photography. For me, each medium is separate with a different conceptual focus. Traditionally, in my paintings I use old family photographs and vintage images to create stories that evoke a feeling of nostalgia. My color photography looks at nature through an eye that sees intensified color and transforms the ordinary into the sublime. These photographs often have a painterly style that leaves the viewer wondering if it is a painting or a photograph.
